Petworth Town Centre is only a quick drive up the road. Its a lovely town with many antique and boutique shops, a wonderful book shop also a variety of coffee shops and a couple of pubs to relax in.
Petworth House which is a 17th Century Mansion is also on the door step with the views into Petworth Park which is a 700 acre deer park so you can burn off that coffee and cake!. Petworth House and Park also hold many events throughout the year.
Goodwood is only a short drive away and hosts a number of annual events. These include the Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood and the Motor Sports Revival. There is an air field where pleasure flights and historic aviation displays can be seen. It also boasts a superior Golf Course and Goodwood House has numerous Antique Roadshows. Goodwood Race Course also hosts many events looking over the stunning South Downs.
Cowdray Park near Midhurst again only a fifteen minute drive away hosts the world famous Veuve Cliquot Gold Cup polo event.
Midhurst also like Petworth is a delightful town with many shops and restaurants. There is also the Cowdray Ruins which is a pleasant walk from the town.
